Jimena’s spirit was one of the most gentle and welcoming i’ve had the honor to experience in this life. I would come to her classes as a nanny, and eventually with her guidance and support ended up doing trainings to become a teacher myself. Her positivity and light truly was infectious. She always saw people for who they are, and met them there. A rare thing in this world. I will never forget her. Sending my deepest condolences 🙏. I’m so grateful to have gotten to learn from her, the love she radiated lives on in every person who was in her orbit. 🕯️🕊️❣️

Jimena was such a bright ray of light in this world. Our daughter Drew immediately loved her when we started going to music class. Often times Drew would go sit in her lap in the middle of class or even motion “up” to Jimena and Jimena would hold her. From the first time I saw Drew with Jimena, I knew Drew felt so safe and loved around her. As a parent, that is the best feeling! To know your child feels love towards someone and vice versa. Jimena had such a beautiful soul and I hope she passed knowing how much we all loved her and what a shining star she was. We will miss her. 🩷

I’ve met only a handful of people who exuded so much genuine joy and inner light that it gave me pause, and Jimena was one of them. I would say the world is so much dimmer without her, if not for that light that she shone which keeps shining through the people she touched. I’m grateful to be among them, and my deepest condolences go out to her family.

My daughter Corinne and I had the immense pleasure of getting to know Ms. Jimena through music class. I am so deeply sorry to hear about this loss. Music class was a highlight of our week. As a one year old, Corinne would say "Jimena" as she played with my guitar. Corinne's blossoming love for music was nurtured by Ms. Jimena, and she will carry this with her always. We will miss Ms. Jimena very much 💛

She was such a joy to be around.
There was something about her presence, soft, warm, and quietly radiant. She carried music not just in her guitar, but in the way she spoke, listened, and cared.

My toddler still talks about Ms. Jimena from time to time when he sees a guitar.
To him, she wasn’t just someone who taught songs, she was the person who made music feel safe, playful, and full of love.

I’m grateful for the time we had with her, even though it wasn’t long enough.

Jimena, you changed our lives at tuneBugz!! You softened every edge and poured love into every nook. You made the world better with your song, your smile and your endless grace. You brightened every room you walked into. You will be remembered for all time. We are all  forever changed for the better because of you.  You are so loved, and so missed, rest in peace my beautiful friend.

To the most beautiful soul I have had the privilege to have in my life.

Oh Jimena had the most beautiful bright loving smile! So much warmth and friendliness. We got to know each other through the samba band in Portland Oregon. Jimena always brought a sense of peace and welcomeness to the group. I miss her energy. Thank you Jimena for all you gave! Abraços para toda a familia! 💜

I will always remember Jimena. She joined our samba band Bloco Alegria and played agogo and then a little while later became a singer. 
We became friends through the band. 

She was a loving wonderful person. A friend asked me about hiring her for Music Together for the new Spanish lessons they were starting. 
I told her that Jimena was one of the sweetest kindest people you could know and was also a great musician and singer.  After working with Jimena she agreed totally.  

We enjoyed going to the zoo with the kids a few times and visiting at each other’s houses. 
We laughed about alot of things in the band and her frequent smile was beautiful.  She was also very generous.  She loved Arturo , Maya and Emilio so much and was close to her family. She also made lots of friends and hosted July birthday parties for members of the band at her
home.  

She was a beautiful person both inside and out. 
She truly left a light shining where she used to stand,  and I will remember her forever.

Jimena y yo nos cagábamos de la risa por audios. Le encantaba imitar mi acento español cada vez que le hacía yo un audio contándole mi vida en España.  Nos conocimos gracias a nuestra amiga común Viviana en la clase de Music Together. Me ayudó y me apoyó para presentarme a la audición como profesora de música igual que ella, aunque no lo conseguí. Pero Jime siempre estaba disponible para ayudar en todo momento. Cuando falleció mi padre, me trajo comida a casa para Yul y para mí, y cuando tuve que encerrarme por tener COVID, me trajo puzzles, libros y juguetes para Yul y dos latas de sopa bien ricas.  Además de generosa, era dulce, buena, guapa, talentosa, cariñosa, inteligente y graciosa hasta decir basta. Haber tenido a Jimena en mi vida es de las mayores fortunas. Descansa en paz, bellísima flor. Arturo, Emilio y Maya, y a toda la familia, tenéis un hogar en Madrid para que recordemos a Jimena algún día que deseéis.  Os mando todo mi amor.

Abrazo hasta el cielo Jimmy, te vamos a extrañar. A toda tu familia y amigos, mi más sentido pésame.

Fui testigo cercano durante tu niñes, y muy a la distancia después; no obstante, se que tu vida, aunque muy corta, fue plena. Lo veo en las fotos, videos y comentarios compartidos por tu mamá. ¡Gracias por los momentos compartidos preciosa! ¡Buen viaje querida Jimenita!. Mis condolencias y abrazo grande a tus seres queridos.

This was our first reunion after your first big battle. You are so strong, fierce and gorgeous. I love this photo of you!

Our favorite meeting spot will forever be Heaven's Bistro Bakery.  I can't even recall how many times we met for tea and coffee there with our guitars and songbooks.

Jimena, my beautiful friend, our friendship began with our shared love of teaching Canta y Baila Conmigo and blossomed into the most wonderful gift. Your laughter and vibrance lifted my heart every single time we met to discuss Música and our treasured families and lives. You changed my life, and I am eternally grateful to call you friend. Thank you for sharing yourself with me. I love you, always.

Jimena, fuiste la mejor amiga que alguien podría tener. Siempre cálida, empática, con los brazos abiertos listos para un abrazo y una sonrisa enorme. Dejas una huella muy profunda en todos los que te conocimos y tuvimos la dicha de compartir tiempo contigo.  Nunca alcanzarán las palabras para decirte cuánto te quiero y lo mucho que te voy a extrañar. Descansa en paz, amiga hermosa, diste una pelea formidable.

Aunque nuestros presentes ya no se cruzaban, nuestros pasados estaban entrelazados con historias de diferentes colores y texturas.
