

Jo Ann Johnson, of Midland, Texas passed away February 20, 2007. She was born September 9, 1940 to Chester and Rena Lee Balke in Austin, Texas and was raised and educated there. On June 4, 1960, she married John Dee Johnson and went on to be a loving wife and mother to her two daughters. Jo Ann had a seventeen year career with Conoco until she retired in 2004. Jo Ann was a past president of the International Right of Way Association. Jo Ann was an active member of Memorial Christian Church where she had served as President of the Christian Womens Fellowship and Chairman of the Pastoral Relations Committee. Jo Ann was also a member of the Red Hats Society. She had a love for traveling, golfing, shopping, fishing, reading and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dee Johnson and her parents. Jo Ann is survived by her two daughters Sheryl Beesley and her husband William of Las Vegas, NV; Karen Hart and her husband, Kenneth of League City, TX; her sister, Renean Cowan and her husband, Jessie of Devine, TX; five grandchildren, Deeann Wiedel of Muskogee, OK; Garrick and Brandon Livesay of League City, TX; David and Erin Hart of Foley, AL; one nephew, Casey Cowan of Devine, TX; her sister-in-law, Sandra Johnson of Austin, TX and three nieces. The family will receive friend and family at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas on Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery Annex in Austin, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will be William Beesley, Kenneth Hart, Jessie Cowan, Casey Cowan, Bill Hendon and Willard Teinert. A memorial service has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Christian Church in Midland, Texas with Reverend Terry Rothermich officiating.
