Joann was manager of the collection department of Caterpillar for many years as well as working as the office manager for many doctors, dentist and law offices in the Austin area. Joann also spent a number of years in real estate.
She devoted her life to all her family and many friends taking them under her wings and caring for and loving each and every one of them.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joe Ray, her mother, Lilly Watson, and brothers, Carol Watson and Robert Watson.
Joann is survived by her brothers, Edward Watson and Carlos Watson of Mathis Texas and three generations of many, many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Baldwin officiating. Entombment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
