Joe T. Herrera

Joe T. Herrera passed away on the morning of June 19, 2018. Joe was born in Austin, Texas on August 23, 1945. He lived in Houston for a couple of years, but Austin was his home. He made his living as a Truck Driver.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Joe Limon Herrera, mother Ramona T. Herrera, brothers Louis Herrera and Gilbert Herrera. He is survived by his children John Albert and Joanna; his sister Maggie; brothers Robert, Jesse, and John; and numerous extended family members. Our family would like to express our appreciation to all the cousins who visited and spent time with Joe during his illness.

A special thanks to the providers, the nurses who he considered his Angels and his brother-in-law Joe Castaneda who always brought Joe his special food or to give him his medicine no matter what time it was.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.

A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Cook- Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
