Joe Mac was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley Walston and his grandson, David Crow.
He is survived by his daughters, Terri Crow (Don) and Wendy Howard (Lynn); his grandchildren Kim Moore (Russell), Chris Crow (Becca), Blake Howard and Justin Howard; his great grandchildren Cade Moore, Cole Moore, Emma Grace Howard and Carter Lee Crow; and his beloved cat, Twitter.
Joe Mac was a much loved son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His sense of humor, and the laugh that followed, were contagious. His giving spirit made him that much more of a blessing.
Daddy absolutely loved Christmas. He found great joy in giving. Christmas was always a magical time for us. We still believe in Santa Claus, but always were aware of the real meaning of Christmas.
Daddy also loved basketball. He played at the University of Texas after his stint in the Air Force. He was also a baseball player, playing on many teams across Austin and many when he was enlisted in the Air Force.
Oh, how he loved his country and the fact that he was privileged to serve it.
Daddy was always the first to lend a helping hand. This was part of his character. He was a kind, sweet, caring, giving and loving man and father. Daddy, we will miss you so much.
Daddy, we sure love you, but we are comforted in the knowledge that you are so happy to be with your family that went before you.
We love you "sometimes". You will always be in our hearts.
Terri and Wendy
