John William Gainer

John William Gainer, III, "Trey" passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009. Born November 21, 1953 to Bill and Boots Gainer in Austin, Trey attended schools in Austin and Lubbock, graduating from McCallum High in Austin. He attended the University of Texas where he had a great time and was active in the Acacia fraternity. Trey's most prized possessions were his children, Hilary and Will. He was an incredible and supportive father and husband. He became a converted Ole Miss Rebel and loved spending Saturdays in the Grove in Oxford, Mississippi, with his daughter and couldn't wait to get back to the Grove next fall with his son. Trey leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 28 years, Debbie; his precious daughter, Hilary; and his beloved son, Will. Also his father and step-mother Bill and Pat Gainer; stepfather Bob Hurmence; sisters Gale Foster and Lee Anna Mask; brothers Mike Gainer and Rob Hurmence; mother-in-law Margie Fleming; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Boots Boyd Hurmence. Visitation will be Sunday, January 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish 3125 N. Lamar. A memorial service to celebrate Trey's life will be Monday, January 19 at 10 a.m. at Tarrytown United Methodist Church.
