John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandy, their daughter Dona, and Rand, his son from a previous marriage. John also leaves behind two brothers and a sister, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
John was proud to have been born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 6, 1946. He was honored to have spent almost five years of military service spent in the US Army. John was a good friend to many and a friendly neighbor; he never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff of Seton for their care and valiant efforts following his heart attack. John's wishes were that no service be held. He will be cremated and be returned to his loving family.
