Joseph S. Primrose

He was born to Joseph H. and Ethel Primrose on August 4, 1931 in Lake Charles, La. He graduated from Landry Memorial High School in Lake Charles. He attended St. Edward’s University in Austin and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He worked as an accountant for Tracor, KLRU and Enviroquip in Austin, Tx. After retirement, he volunteered for more than 26 years at Seton Northwest Hospital. He served in many different ministries at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Joseph H. and Ethel H. Primrose and his sister, Mary Claire Primrose.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cynthia Primrose and their children, Michael and wife Monica; Pamela Casey; Stephen and wife Janie; Chuck and wife Lisa; Aimee De Riggi and husband, Phil; Thomas and wife Kristine. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus, Megan and her husband Raul, Patrick, Michael, Will, Angela, John, Elizabeth, Kate, Jonas and Eva.

A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills located at 9700 Anderson Mill Rd. in Austin from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Rite of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9500 Neenah Dr. in Austin on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. burial will follow the service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.

Memorial donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church building fund, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or to a charity of your choice.
