Juan Acosta Dominguez was born in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas on May 8, 1948 to Maria Guadalupe Acosta and Erasmo Dominguez. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 77, on August 23, 2025 in Austin, TX.
Juan was preceded in death by his mother, stepfather, Felipe Vasquez, and brothers: Felipe Vasquez Jr and Jose Vasquez.
He is survived by his partner of 35 years, Janie Cantu and her family. His children including Marco Dominguez and his brother: Rodolfo “Rudy” Vasquez, from West Palm Beach, FL.
Juan has lived a tremendous life and knew many people. More than being an outgoing person, he was a provider who always kept busy. He was a father to David, Woody, Brandy and Elly Cantu. He raised his grandchild, Bj Cantu, and had a great impact on all his grandchildren: Chelsey Cantu, Katelynn Cantu, Maria and Miguel Arriaga, Mikey Rios, Issiah, Mkyala and Joseph Cantu. He was also a great grandpa to: Desirae Moreno, Isabela Romo, Jacob and Michael Cantu, Marcelo and Seleste Arriaga. He had many different nicknames for all his children and grandkids. He will be deeply missed by everyone.
