Julia Martha Vijarro

Julia Martha Vijarro, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 11, 2025, from cancer at the age of 88. She was a kind and compassionate person who touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Consuelo Posada Torres; stepfather, Luz Torres; sister, Luz Maria Vasquez; and cousin, Armando Posada.

She is survived by husband, Jose Zaragoza Vijarro, who she was married to for 68 years; four children, daughter, Julia Vijarro; son, Jose Vijarro; daughter, Maria Kuenning (Keith); and son, Al Vijarro; seven grandchildren, Tania Vijarro, Anthony Kuenning (Ashley), Monica Vijarro, Connor Vijarro, Jose Vijarro III, Kristopher Kuenning (Libbie), and Collin Vijarro; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Kuenning, Austin Kuenning, Cassidey Adams, Logan Vijarro, and Mathias Vijarro.

Family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers, and all expressions of kindness and concern. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. A mass of Christian burial will occur Monday, March 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704. A committal service will occur Monday, March 17, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35 Frontage Rd., Austin, TX 78704.
