Met Shooter in the early 1980s looking at real estate. Purchased my first house with his help.  Helped me fix it up.  Did well on the investment.  Introduced me to all the folks at Austin Lumber Co.  Good man and friend.  Sorry to here of his passing.  Will be missed.

I had a business relationship with Shooter since the mid 80's.
I always enjoyed out annual meetings.   He was one who had
a very positive outlook on life.  He will be missed.
A few years ago I moved from Austin and lost contact.

We were Blessed to have known Shooter and call him our friend.  He was a wonderful person, one of the kindest men I have ever known.  A light has gone out in our lives with his passing.  But he will always remain in our hearts.  He will always be with us.

Bob and I spent a lot of time with Julius on his ranch hunting and learning more about our family. These were some of the more special times in our lives! 

I consider myself very lucky to have known Shooter and been able to call him my friend.  His generosity and genuine concern for others will be truly missed.

You are missed my friend. Many great memories. Rest in Peace.

Shooter, you were loved and appreciated far more than you ever knew. Your kindness and generosity are traits that we can all hope to acquire. Rest in peace brother.  

I have known Shooter for several years. He began as my client at my air conditioning company, but ended up as good friends. I will cherish the time we went dove hunting at one of his ranches. Rest In Peace Shooter.

My sincere condolences. I remember Shooter well even though I was very young at the time. He was a good friend to my dad who passed away in 2001. I know he will be missed.

Shooter was such an awesome person.  We considered him a member of our family.  My husband worked for him for several years and always enjoyed doing so.  Our daughter of 5 years old would always get excited when he would come by the house and always greeted him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.  I still cannot believe that he is no longer with us and we miss him dearly.

 Julius was my cousin, but I always thought of him as a big brother. He was an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. I loved telling him jokes. It was fun to get him to start laughing to the point he couldn't stop. Once he started, it was over for the both of us! Julius had a warm heart, and would help out anyone that was in need. You meant so much to us Shooter! I'd like to share a poem. "No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to loose you, no one will ever know." You will be truly missed by many, rest in peace. I will always love, and miss you, but I promise to always keep your memory alive deep in my heart.
