Karen Marie Lindell Karen Marie Lindell, died July 29, 2008. She was born to Carl L. Lindell and Susan Jenny Peterson Lindell on Sept. 20, 1917. She was preceded in death by her brother Sam Lindell. She grew up on the family farm which is now part of Decker Lake. She was a life long member of the Evangelical Free Church. Her adult life was spent at the Texas Capitol where she worked for many years at the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Senate. After her retirement she was an advocate and lobbyist for the elderly, consumer interests and small rural communities. She had a record of attending the opening sessions of the Texas Legislature for fifty years. She was a friend and mentor to many members of the Legislature and capitol workers. She had an inexhaustible fountain of stories and tales of the capitol. Her family and friends are invited to gather at her home on Saturday, August 9, 2008, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM to celebrate her life. Memorial contributions should be made to a charity of your choice.
