Katherine Grace Neumann

Katherine Grace Neumann, 23, of Austin, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, after a brief and brave battle with cancer. She was born in Austin, Texas, on May 19, 1989 to Fred and Caryn Neumann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She was educated at St. Paul Lutheran School, Clint Small Middle School, and Bowie High School in Austin. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelors of Science degree, Multidisciplinary Studies, Middle Level Education.

Katherine was preceded in death by her mother, Caryn Zoch Neumann and grandfather, Royce Zoch. She is survived by Austin Miller; father, Fred Neumann; grandparents, Fred Neumann Sr., Lavon Neumann, Clara Zoch; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank the many people who cared for and supported Katherine during these difficult months. We especially thank the Hospice Austin nurses and staff, and Christopher House nurses and staff.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River Street, Austin, Texas, officiated by The Rev. Dr. Mark S. Nuckols.

Interment will occur at a later date because Katherine requested cremation. The family will receive family and friends in the Fellowship Hall at the school immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Austin or St. Paul Lutheran Church Christian Concerns.
