Kathryn (Katie) Marie Melvin (nee Nunnelee) passed away at her home May 27, 2018.

She was born on February 24, 1930 in Austin in the Hyde Park neighborhood, the youngest of eight children. A true Austinite, she graduated from Austin High School in 1948.

Katie is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George Melvin Jr., who passed away ten months ago. She and George will be forever remembered by their two children, Sherry and Stephen (Catherine) and two grandchildren, Ava and Jake.

A graveside service will be held at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10 am.
