
Kay V. Harris, age 60, passed away at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on June 26, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James K. and Vida Rupp Holder. Kay was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church and taught the 2 year olds Sunday school Class. She was the founder and owner of The Drapery Den on Bee Caves Road in Austin, Texas. Her strongest passions were her family and faith in God. She loved to entertain and took great joy in spending time with her great nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful lady whose kindness, patience, graciousness, and generosity have left an indelible mark on all those who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Vida Holder; sons, Charlie and Michael Harris; brother, Dale Holder and wife Tina; niece, Christina Wilson; nephew, Kevin Holder; great-nieces and great-nephews, Rylee and Caden Holder, Duren and Tatum Wilson. There will be an open visitation for guests after 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 1, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Viewing will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, March 2 at Hyde Park Baptist Church, 3901 Speedway, Austin, Texas, with funeral services to follow at 10:00 am with Dr. David Procter officiating.
