Kerry Eileen McGee, beloved sister and friend, lost her good fight with cancer on April 17, 2008. Kerry was born July 11th, 1956 at Fort Dix, NJ to Stanley and Delores McGee. She is survived by her immediate family, who are based in San Antonio, TX and many friends in Austin and across the United States and by her loving companion, Trixie, a precious little tabby that she loved dearly. An Air Force brat, Kerry traveled the world in her youth collecting lifelong friends and lasting memories along the way. A graduate of the University of Houston, Kerry made her living as an accomplished technical writer and calligraphist. Kerry was a true artist and her calligraphy won the eye of US Presidents, whom she was proud to serve for many years in this capacity. Later in her career, she was a valued employee of Cisco Systems, where she continued her career as a technical writer. Kerry received remarkable support from them as she lived her life with this terrible disease. Even in her illness, she brought great joy to those around her. She will always be remembered for her very generous spirit, her loud and genuine laugh, her unconditional love for her friends and for her faith in Christ. It was that tremendous faith that gave her such peace in death. Kerry never knew a stranger but was a friend to everyone she met. To those who know and love her, her motto will always be remembered - "It is better to be silly, not sad". We are sure that she even has the Lord in heaven wearing bunny ears by now! Until we meet again, Kerry McGee!!
