

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walker and Geneva Housdan; 2 sisters (Judy and Betty); and 3 brothers (Danny, Michael, and Ted). She is also preceded in death by two husbands: Riley Gaither and B.C. Stringfellow.
Survivors include a son, James Gaither, of Sherwood, Arkansas; a daughter Jamie Woleben and son-in-law Bill Woleben, of Austin, Texas; and five grandsons: Riley, Nicholas, Julian, Christopher, and Damien. Surviving siblings include Dennis Housdan of Charlottesville, Virginia; Vida Stallings of Black Rock, Arkansas; Carolyn Lamb of Powhatan, Arkansas; and Lisa Berry, of Powhatan, Arkansas. Also survived by two devoted granddogs: Jester and Jake of Austin, Texas.
Kitty was a dedicated teacher at Hoxie Elementary and Rockefeller Elementary in Little Rock, Arkansas. She loved helping each child learn. She loved to do crafts, and found beauty and art in every day items. She was a member for the VFW and American Legion Ladies' Auxiliaries.
Two memorial services are to be held. The first memorial service is June 8, at 6:30 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on N. Lamar in Austin, Texas. The second memorial is a graveside service at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, at Lawrence Memorial Park, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Kitty and her family request that donations be sent in memoriam to The Children's Hospital of Arkansas in Little Rock, in lieu of flowers.
