I can barely imagine a world or life without Laurie in it. Looking around my home all I see are things that I did or improved because of what I learned from her. It seems like every effort that I made to have beauty surround me and live a life of pure quality was because of her influence. She's been my hero and I've wished for as long as I can remember that I could be even a tiny little bit as amazing, talented and beautiful as she always was.  I'm infinitely thankful that even though she's gone she taught me the importance (and possibility!) of living in a beautiful way. Heaven is probably already being renovated into shabby chic, lemon verbena scented perfection. Laurie prepared me in her own way long ago to know that losing her was almost inevitable, and I believe that she is finally truly happy and at a peaceful place she would never find in life.  -Andrea

I didn't know Laura but her Dad is my cousin (my mother was Laura Alencastre, who was his aunt).  I was so saddened to hear of her death; she and the family are in my prayers.    God bless.

We were amazed at how Laura transformed her front yard into an incredible and beautiful garden. She was very sweet to all of the kids in the neighborhood. I especially remember her buying Girl Scout cookies from my daughter, when she was on the Atkins Diet! We hope Laura has found peace. Our thoughts go out to all of her family and friends.
