Laura Kay Praesel Leonard, 42, of Austin passed away unexpectedly March 31, 2010. Laura was a loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She is survived by her adoring husband of just three weeks, Byron (Bert) Leonard; mother, Gwen Praesel; father, Carl Praesel Jr.; sister, Staci Hunt and husband; brother, Todd Praesel; brother and sister-in-law, Glynn and Denise Praesel and their two daughters; maternal grandmother; cousin and best friend, Nicole Kingston; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and friends; her husband's family; and last, but not least, her precious dog Mogwai, all of whom loved her very much and will miss her dearly. Some described Laura as a beautiful light, and we are so terribly sad that she will shine no more. A memorial will be held this Friday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, and burial service will be Saturday, April 10 in Boerne, Texas.
