Lauren was born at Seton hospital in Austin, Texas. She came out screaming and carried a passion and fervor for life until the day she left us. She used that energy to accomplish many different things in her life.
Lauren grew up as an athlete. She excelled as a gymnast when she was a child winning state titles. This served her in her later years as a drill team member and cheerleader at Bowie High School. She was in the top 10% of her class in 1997.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to pass the Texas State Board Exam for nursing and worked as a registered nurse for several years.
She met her husband Todd in Austin and quickly decided to make a life together. They married on December 3, 2005 in an intimate ceremony at Green Pastures. It was a joyous time in their lives and served as the foundation for many special years to come.
They welcomed their son, Ian Stuart Wesson, on July 30, 2007. Their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth, was born two years later on December 15, 2009. The children are the heart of their family and Lauren was devoted to being a loving mother. Lauren lived for her family, and many of her interests and hobbies centered on the children and their extended family. She enjoyed movies, family trips to the beach, and spending time together most of all.
Her family describes her as fiercely loyal. She was determined, studious, compassionate, and beautiful.
