Lenora Crayton

Lenora accepted Christ as her savior at a very early age. She joined Raymond Jackson in matrimony and to this union her daughter Connie Rushing was born.

Lenora was a very caring and selfless lady. She was a second mom to seven nieces and nephews. She also babysat for most of the family and friends. The word “No” was not in her vocabulary. She loved cooking, sewing, making beautiful quilts, doing puzzles' and beating everyone at Dominos.

Lenora also enjoyed watching her favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs. Most of all she loved the Lord and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for over sixty years.

Lenora is survived by her only child Connie Rushing, granddaughter Mary Culberson (Eric), four great grandchildren, Yolanda Davis, Kimberly McIntosh (Clarence Sr.), Alford Houston Jr. and Justin Houston (Elyse). 11 great great grandchildren (6 girls and 5 boys), 3 great great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Lenora was preceded in death by her parents Roberta and Dock Aldrige, siblings Mrytle R. Aldrige, Annie Lewis, Julius Aldrige, Cora White, Birdie Lou Jones, Mary Devore, Alfredia Miller, Lester Aldrige and Hazel Robinson.

Lenora touched so many hearts in her 103 years here on earth and will truly be missed.
