Lexie Faye Morgan Dunn Christian

Lexie Faye Morgan Dunn Christian died March 5, 2010 at age 82. She gracefully departed our world at peace with herself, her God and her family. Lexie was born May 14, 1927 in Abilene, Texas and grew up in Colorado City, moving to Pecos, Texas in her teens where she met and married the love of her life John Paul Dunn, M.D. They began their life together as high school sweethearts during the tumultuous war years, and married and raised a family during a time of change, challenge and growth -moving their family from Pecos to Richardson, Texas in 1963. In her later years, she proved her heart knew no limits by loving another fine man, Mr. E.J. Christian. After their marriage they moved from her home in Richardson to Baltimore, Maryland, in 1976 where she lived until his death in 1993 – her second husband to predecease her. Returning to Texas after his death, Lexie spent the next seventeen years surrounded by her extended family in Austin. She was a proud, fifty year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and an active member of her church. Her faith, spirit and innate kindness live on in the legacy of her four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Suzan Arizpe M.D., Steven Dunn, Nancy Kimsey, John Dunn, and their families. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin, Texas. Her life will be celebrated in a Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 8, 2010 at Northwest Hills United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas. If desired, memorials in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, or the American Liver Foundation.
