Lillian “Louise” Mitschke Stuenkel of Austin, Texas passed peacefully on July 10, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born on October 2, 1940 in Winchester, Texas to Robert and Mary Mitschke. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1958. She attended Clay-Nixon Business College. She married her husband, Berthold Stuenkel on March 11, 1972 in La Grange, Texas. Their son, Jeffrey Stuenkel was born June, 18, 1973.
Everyone who met Louise loved her. She loved children and taught Sunday school and vacation bible school for years. She also kept several children in her home including her grandchildren, Kylie and Brady. She enjoyed being a stay at home Mom, cooking, baking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Bert, Son Jeff and wife Jamie, granddaughter Kylie, grandson Brady, brother Harvey Mitschke and wife Barbara, nephew Stephen Mitschke and wife Amy and their children Kevin, Lauren and Claire, niece Kimberly Baggerman and husband Eric and their children Philip and Daniel.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial service to honor Louise at Christ Lutheran Church, 300 E Monroe St Austin, Texas on August 3rd at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
