Linda graduated from Coahoma High School in Coahoma, Texas. Though she once dreamed of becoming a fashion designer, in her twenties she moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she worked as an administrative assistant for Grumman, a NASA contractor, during the Apollo Lunar Module's development in the 1960s—a role she always took great pride in.
Later, Linda relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she married and welcomed a daughter into her life. She built a successful career as an accountant for the Federal Government, earning numerous achievement awards for her dedication and skill. Throughout her life, Linda also called Colorado home.
After retiring from the Federal Government, Linda returned to Texas to be closer to family. She loved dining out with her two nearby brothers and hosting family gatherings. In 2016, Linda relocated to Austin, Texas, to be near her daughter.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved chihuahua, Tila; her parents, Marzel and Theo "Pete" Earnest, and her sister, Francis Aberegg of Big Spring, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Raymond, and her siblings, Doris Badgett, Jimmy Earnest, Marlyn Earnest, and Doug Earnest.
