Linda McKee Larsen

Linda McKee Larsen passed away on Friday April 23, 2010 in Austin, Texas, at the age of 64. She was born on June 14, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Louise Kaufman. Linda is survived by her two children, Alex Larsen and Katie Hassall; her son-in-law, Iain Hassall; and her former husband of 20 years, Neal Larsen. She is also survived by her beloved grandson, Owen Hassall. Linda graduated from Wheaton College, Norton, Massachusetts in 1967, with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. She enjoyed many vocations, including teaching, computer programming, insurance sales, retail merchandising, and most importantly being a mother and homemaker in her children's formative years. In 1996, Linda won a courageous and inspiring battle with Leukemia. Her many life passions included traveling, gardening, dancing, interior decorating, and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Those who knew Linda will remember her style and grace, outgoing personality and love and dedication to her family and faith. We will miss her zest for life and her infectious laughter. A memorial service will be held for Linda on Friday April 30 at 11:00 a.m., at the Smith Chapel at Riverbend Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
