
Lois Walther Biggs Lois Walther Biggs passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2005. She was born on November 24, 1912 in Cincinnati, Ohio, raised in Dallas and has been a resident of Austin since 1947. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years William Ambrose Biggs, Jr. and son, Robert (Bob) Alan Biggs. She was very caring, highly intelligent, and a gentle lady who will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Members of her family include her son William A. Biggs, III and wife Danya; daughter Betty Young Kee and husband A. J.; grandchildren John Carter Biggs and wife Eileen; Elizabeth Biggs Speck and husband Arthur; Robin Young Tompkins and husband Derek; Gregory Alden Young and wife Lisa; Brooks Biggs Annarino and husband Hans; eight great-grandchildren; and her siblings Joe D. Walther, Gene Walther, Mary Reynolds and Katie Lee Butler. Lois was a long time member in the University Presbyterian Church. She and her husband enjoyed their monthly bridge club of 48 years and the Dance Club which lasted over 25 years. Over the years she worked in the Texas Senate and for Henry Moore Insurance The family thanks those who gave Lois care and affection in recent years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Family Eldercare, 2210 Hancock Drive, Austin, TX 78756 or to a favorite charity. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, February 25 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
