

LOU MANGHAM WILLIAMS Lou Mangham Williams passed away on October 26th at home in Austin, Texas. She was born in Kaufman, Texas on January 15, 1917 to Dovie and L.D. Mangham. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. An artist and a gardener, Lou had a keen eye for color and a special love for roses. She was a member of the Elizabeth Simpson Traditional Art Society in Corpus Christi, Texas and a life-long member of the Methodist Church. She married her high school sweetheart Dana Williams in Beckville, Texas on August 9, 1935. Lou was a homemaker, raising three daughters, as Danas career in education took them to Woodglen of Rusk County, Tennessee of Shelby County, Tenaha, White Oak, Gladewater, Corsicana and Corpus Christi, Texas. They moved to Austin, Texas in 1999 to be closer to family and the Texas Longhorns. There will be visitation from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 28th at Lipsey Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Carthage, Texas at 1:00 pm. on Friday, October 29th. Interment will follow at the Walton Cemetery, of the Delray Community. She is survived by Dana Williams, the love of her life, and three daughters Mary Ann Baker-Holmes and husband John Holmes, Winter Park, Florida; Donna Ralston and husband Dave Ralston, Corsicana, Texas; and Bettye Williams, Austin, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren Scott Baker and wife Sam, Orlando, Florida; Jennifer Baker and husband Aldo Rampini, Brescia, Italy; Tracy Ralston, Houston, Texas; Amy Horowitz, Austin, Texas; Brett Baker and wife Carolyn, Summerville, South Carolina; Daniel Horowitz, Houston, Texas; and Rebecca Cain and husband Fred, Corsicana, Texas, and great grandchildren Jonah and Dana Rampini, Brescia, Italy, Taylor and Lauren Baker, Summerville, South Carolina; and Ava Baker, Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Lucille Williams, Inez Jones and Margie Mangham.
