

Louise M. Fernandez, age 95 of Austin, Texas passed on November 27, 2023.
She was born October 25, 1928 in Donora, Pennsylvania to Maria Migliori and Domenico Baldini, attended Donora High School and graduated in the class of 1947. While attending high school she also went to cosmetology school.
Louise went on to marry Robert A. Fernandez and the couple settled in Austin, TX where they attended St. Peter Apostle Church. Serving as an Air Force spouse, she was primarily a home-maker. She was also employed briefly as a hairdresser and then spent 17 years working at Austin Community College, later in life.
Louise was engaged in many clubs and hobbies. She was a member of Air Force Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Wives Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Air Force Family Services. Her interests included sports (especially women’s volleyball!), traveling, volunteering, shopping, decorating, Christmas, and Halloween. Through her many activities Louise received numerous awards including the Engage Travis County Volunteer Couples Choice Award, 2023; AmeriCorps Seniors/Engage Travis County Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, 2022; Bergstrom Air Force Base Family Services Volunteer of the Year, 1985.
Louise was preceded in death by her father and mother, and her step-mother Lena Ingani, siblings, Albert "Baba" Baldini, Anthony “Buff” Baldini, and Geraldine Baldini Ellenberger, and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Fernandez.
She leaves behind her husband, Robert Anthony Fernandez; son, Robert Louis Fernandez (Kathleen Elizabeth Ryan Fernandez); daughter, Debora Anne Fernandez Kubena (Randall H. Kubena); grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Fernandez Brooks (Christopher James Brooks), Kiersten Elyse Fernandez; and great-grandchildren, Dominic James Brooks and Daniel John Brooks.
