

He was preceded in death by his parents Rafael & Cecilia Bejarano; brother, Rafael Bejarano, Jr.; and sister, Mary-Lou Keck.
Manny is survived by his wife, Ana Olaguez-Bejarano; daughters, Rachel Bejarano-Brooks and husband Gregory A. Brooks of Rixeyville, Virginia; Laurie A. Fliehler and husband Brian J. Fliehler of Austin, Texas; Yesenia Herrera of Nashville, Tennessee; Erika Herrera of El Paso, Texas; sons, Gilbert and David Herrera of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Aidan and Levi Brooks; and Kylian G. Fliehler; granddaughters, Ainsley, Cecilia and Ella Brooks; Victoria Ortiz and Frida Herrera; brothers, Luis Bejarano of Pecos, Texas and Patricio Chavira of Marfa, Texas; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Following high school, Manny enlisted in the US Army where he became a sergeant and nuclear technician. After 10 years of service, he retired from the Army and went on to graduate from University of Texas at El Paso with a degree in Criminal Justice. He continued his education and earned his Doctor of Juris Prudence from Santa Clara University in 1978. He practiced law in El Paso, Texas, where he specialized in helping under privileged clients for the majority of his career. He retired from the practice of law in 2005.
Manny's greatest passion was his grandchildren. He was able to spend the last years of his life getting to know his grandchildren in both Virginia and Texas, for which he and his family will be forever grateful.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 11, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
