Marcus graduated from the University of Texas in 1971. He studied Computer Programming, Math, and Chemistry.
Marcus went on to serve in the U.S. Army; he worked as a Computer Systems Programmer at the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, then served and later retired from the Texas National Guard.
Marcus was actively involved with Central Assembly of God and Bethel Assembly of God. His most recent hobby was working on genealogy.
Marcus is preceded in death by his parents Marcus A. Grumbles Sr. and Edith E. Brake; siblings Edith Carolyn Grumbles Daniel and Terry Neal Grumbles; and spouses Annie L. Burkhardt and JoAnne Moore Grumbles.
Marcus is survived by his daughter Cheryl Ann Smith, son Ronald E. Grumbles Sr. and wife Misty D Jones Grumbles; daughter Robyne Renee Grumbles; grandson Ronald E Grumbles Jr., and granddaughters Tiffany D Grumbles and Samantha L. Grumbles.
