Marie Katherine Clayton Baldwin

Marie Katherine (Clayton) Baldwin, age 79, a resident of Manor, died August 7, 2003. Born May 6, 1924 to Joseph Roy Clayton and Ruby (Pruitt) Clayton in Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Baldwin, January 16, 1990 and also by her parents and sister Mary Louise Patterson. She is survived by daughters: Martha Ann King of Manor and Mary Kathryn Stramler of Wimberly; and by sons: Walter Albert Hastings and wife Janet of San Marcos; Robert Edward Hastings, John Wayne Baldwin, David William Baldwin and Billy Eugene Baldwin all of Austin. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren; 9 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren. Katherine will be missed by sisters: Annie Bell Clayton, Minnie B. Lindholm and Betty J. Johnson all of Austin, and Dorothy May Grace of Round Rock and by brothers: Joseph Roy Clayton Jr., and Robert William Clayton of Austin and Charles Clayton and wife Nancy of Manor and by her many nieces and nephews. When Katherine wasn’t quilting she was busy puttering around outside in the flowerbeds or in her vegetable garden. She also loved antiques. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2003 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12th at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Chaplain Elizabeth Ann Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. Honoring Katherine as Pallbearers will be: Rick King, Jeffrey King, Paul Walker, Robbie Grace, Joseph Johnson and Walter Hastings.
