

Marietta was born in Austin in 1930 to her parents, John and Argie (Spillar) Milam and remained a citizen of Austin her entire life. She is remembered by her loved ones as a person of strength and compassion with a great love for God; she was a member of Community Bible Study for over thirty-five years and considered her fellow members her closest friends. Her children remember her as a model for all mothers. Marietta cherished above all time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Kemnitz, with whom she became a founding member of Redeemer Lutheran Church on West Anderson Lane.
Marietta was also predeceased by her parents, John and Argie (Spillar) Milam, and by her sister Johnnie O’Day. She is survived by her four children Deborah and husband Milton Peasley, Dale and wife Cheri Kemnitz, Donna and husband Frank McCamant, Dwight and wife Karen Kemnitz and by her 12 grandchildren Allison, Adam, Nathan, Matthew, Landon, Katelyn, Ashley, Amanda, Meghan, Kade, Kohl and Konleigh and by fourteen great grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service for the family at Cook Walden Cemetery on Monday, February 2nd. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 1500 W. Anderson Lane in Austin. For those who cannot attend, the service will be live streamed at Redeemer.net. Memorials may be sent to the church.
