
Alexandria, VA, was born June 30, 1950. Martha went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2017
surrounded with love from her family.
Martha graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and furthered her education at Virginia Intermont
College. She went on to work on Capitol Hill where she met the love of her life, Howard Victor Moore II.
They embraced a loving 45 years of marriage, and she was blessed with four children, 5 grandchildren,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha worked for The University of Texas Women's Athletic Volleyball Department; she was a devout
Christian and an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, where she volunteered her time. She was active member in various committees within the Church and loved helping others.
Martha was a loving and nurturing wife and mother that absolutely loved her children and grandchildren. To all who knew Martha, know that she had a million-dollar smile and a loud contagious laugh. She exhibited a deep passion for Shopping, Reading, and more Shopping.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Edward Day and Francis Risdon and by her twin sister
Mary. Martha is survived by her husband of 45 years, Howard Victor Moore II; Children, Mary Moore of
Austin, TX, Victoria Barrios of Austin, TX, Christopher Moore of Austin, TX, and Andrew & Camille Moore
of Round Rock, TX; Grandchildren: Victor, Mariska, and Jayden of Austin, TX, and Jacob and Lilli of Round Rock, TX; Brother, Richard Risdon and wife Judy of Kearneysville, WV; Sisters, Susan Thomas and husband Dan of Wilmington, NC; Sister, Elizabeth Hulfish of Wilmington, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Hope Lutheran Church, 6414 North Hampton Drive, Austin, TX 78723.
Following the Service, we will celebrate Martha's Life with a reception at the residence of Andrew Moore, 2419 Sparrow Drive, Round Rock, TX 78681.
