Martin Damian Reed of Austin, Texas, was called home on January 29th, 2026, at the age of 59. He was born in Glendale, Arizona, on May 9th, 1966, to parents Earl and Frances Reed. An accomplished sales director at Dell Technologies, Martin was a natural-born leader who loved to win but wasn’t afraid to fail occasionally. “Victory is in the effort,” he always said. He was recognized among his colleagues as a successful high performer who left lasting impacts on those with whom he worked closely. He will be deeply missed and remembered as a devoted and loving husband, as well as a greatly cherished grandfather. Martin worked tirelessly for his family, assuring everyone was taken care of.
Martin was a proud Texan and patriot. An avid football fan, he loved the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. Martin’s generosity was grand; he took his family to Disney World three times and enjoyed beach trips to sunny Port Aransas. He loved a good cup of iced tea and quoting movies with his family. His best friend was a white lab named Buckley, and he was especially close to his older brother, Chris Reed.
Martin is preceded in death by his father, Earl Reed, his mother, Frances Reed, and his older brother, Vincent Reed. He is survived in death by his wife; Carolyn Reed; older brother Chris Reed; uncle Donovan Dixon; sisters in-law Joan, and Carey Reed; stepsons David and Shay Riley; stepdaughter Jennifer Riley; grandsons Kris Riley, Nathan and wife Erika Santana (Riley), Justin, and Jacob Riley; great grandson Kyson Jones; granddaughters Shyann Jones and Madison York; great granddaughter Ayslee Jones; nieces Meghan, Mary, and Makayla Reed, Lorin Weisheit, nephews Mitchell and Jeremy Reed. The family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
