Fran was a source of strength for her family throughout her life, through hard times and good, including for her mother and her siblings after the death of her father when she was 12, and for her two young sons when she was widowed at 19.
Many will remember her for her long career at Tom Thumb and Randalls stores, where she trained hundreds of young people how to do their first job.
On February 4th of this year, we celebrated her 90th birthday together with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in attendance.
Fran was preceded in death by her first husband, Troy E. Martin and her husband of 50 years, Arthur L. Farley.
She is survived by her four sons, Troy Martin, Larry Martin, Rick Farley, and Chris Farley, their spouses, her 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, as well as an adopted family of sons that she cared for as if they were her own.
Services will be held at Cook Walden Forest Oaks, 6300 William Cannon Drive, with visitation on Tuesday, July 16 from 5-8pm, and funeral on Wednesday, July 17 at 10am. Burial to follow in Cook Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
