Gigi was born on October 26, 1916 in Hillsboro, Texas to Horace Brannan and Ruby Jo Morrison Brannan. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to meet the love of her life, Horace Ainsworth Blissit at a local dance they both attended. They married on September 4th, 1937 and enjoyed 69 years of devotion to each other and to their family. Gigi had a love for all things sports related but was especially passionate about her Longhorns! She was an institution at the Longhorn football and baseball games. Above all else, she will be remembered for her love of her family.
Gigi is preceded in death by Horace Ainsworth Blissit. She is survived by their only child, Mickey Blissit and wife Janis Blissit; grandson Mike Blissit and wife Kelley Blissit; grandson Mark Blissit and partner Rick Dixon; great granddaughters Jordan, McKenna and Logan Blissit, all of Austin, Texas.
