Matthew Daniel Basez

Matthew Basez Matthew left this earth on July 12, 2005, at the age of 20. He had a strong spiritual relationship with his Lord and we know he is with Him now. He was a wonderful and affectionate son and brother. His family and countless friends meant everything to him. Matthew had a gift for making people laugh and would want to be remembered for his warm heart and beautiful smile. He was a strong and gifted athlete with a passion for music and art. He was a good student and hard worker and devoted his whole self to anything he did. We will celebrate the memory of Matthew’s life forever & will miss him deeply, but hope that the tragedy of his death serves to remind us how precious & valuable each day is. Matthew is survived by his parents, Danny and Marta Basez; sister, Emilie; grandparents, Horacio and Elena Etcheverry, Susana Rosen and Sylvio Basez; aunts, Maria Elena Gartrell, Maria Graciela Etcheverry, Susan Basez and Sylvia Chevarrie; cousins, Clinton, Danielle, Ryan and Michelle, many relatives and friends. The family welcomes visitors from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday, July 15 at Wilke-Clay-Fish.
