Maudie Lea Nanny Pannell Maudie Lea Pannell, a lifetime resident of Austin, Texas, was called to rest with her family by her side on Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2005. Maudie Lea held her large family and close friends very dear to her heart. Her smile, laughter and loving heart will be sadly missed by all. Her family found strength in her words of encouragement and she gave each one of them the self-confidence to face the challenges of the world with a smile. She was born February 13, 1925 to Claude and Leola Brown and married the love of her life on March 14, 1941. They had a world filled with love and wonders, and they made each other happier than anyone could ever imagine. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of forty years, Willard Lonnie Pannell. It is comforting to know that they are together again. She is survived by her brother Clyde Brown and sister Marjorie Vest, along with her children: Willard Pannell (Janie), Darlene Arnold (Fred), Terrance Skipper Pannell and Margaret Thornton (Ken). She was a loving Grandmother to Jim Bob (Lisa), Bill, Penny (Steve), Darla, Todd, Yvette, Brandi (Bryan), Dale (Amy), Kimberly and Will Cody and Great-Grandmother to Al, Branden, Heather, Desiree, Marti Kay, Travis, Amber, Michael, Gregory, Hope, Randy, Colton, Dale Jr, Garrett, Patricia and Shawn. She will be missed by many additional family members. Our family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support. You all hold a special place in our hearts.
