Maurice Folse

In 1948, after high school Maurice joined the Air Force. While stationed in Germany he met his wife of 62 years, Ursula Scheibe. They were married on January 26th, 1952 in Wiesbaden Germany. They had 2 children and he retired in Austin at Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1968. He soon became a Mail Carrier working as a mail man from 1969 to 1992.

Maurice was preceded in death by his son Michael David Folse.

Family members still here to celebrate Maurice’s life are his beloved wife, Ursula Scheibe Folse, his daughter Maureen and husband Tim Thrash of Austin, Texas, daughter Elka Johnson of San Jose, California. His Grandchildren: Darrell and wife Christina Dobias of Cedar Park, Texas, Lindsay and husband Justin McSpadden of Austin, Texas, Paige Thrash of Austin, Texas and Noah and wife Laurie Lampkin of Folsom, California. Great-Grandchildren: Jackson Dobias, Katie and Ryan Lampkin.

Funeral services will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 12 of December 2014, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
