Michael Francis Roques, 72, of Austin, Texas passed away on November 14, 2023. Born in New Orleans in 1950, he lived most of his life in Austin. He served in the US Air Force in the 1970s in Oklahoma and England. Michael had a love of music and was trained in piano tuning. He worked construction in Arizona and Nevada and here in Austin. More recently Michael enjoyed a simpler life tending his honey bees and garden of morning glories and roses. He always had a great sympathy for those among us who are less fortunate. Michael will be remembered as the kindest brother and a loving son who provided support for his aging parents. He is preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Jerome, and is survived by sisters Margaret, Colette, Carmel and Monique, and brothers Dominic and Patrick. After sometime, the family will hold Michael’s memorial gathering for friends and relatives. Instead of sending flowers, Michael would be pleased to have donations made to Central Texas Food Bank (www.centraltexasfoodbank.org).
