Michael David Ross, 22, of Austin, Texas, left this earth suddenly, July 24th, 2024. Michael was a vibrant thread that wove joy, kindness, and a touch of wonder into the lives of all who knew him. With a heart as boundless as the sky and a genuine smile that could light up any room, Michael blessed us with his presence for 22 years.
Born 12 weeks premature on April 3, 2002, in Austin, Texas, Michael’s arrival was nothing short of a miracle. Despite a challenging start, his spirit shone brightly from the very beginning. He spoke few words but displayed profound thoughts when he did. Michael had a heartfelt connection to music, a strong bond with animals, and a deep interest in martial arts, gaming, comedy, and film. He was uniquely known for his genuine kindness and his willingness to lend an empathetic ear or a helping hand to anyone in need. His warmth and compassion made him a cherished friend of many. Coworkers , colleagues and managers of Mod Pizza commonly described Michael as dependable, amazing and vibrant. Michael was also quickly promoted to team lead - a testament to his hard work and ability to create a positive environment for those around him. Michael also cherished his time with his family, finding joy in being an uncle and sharing moments of laughter and love. His Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he proudly shared it with his many friends.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Tina and Bill Ross; his supportive brother, William Christopher Ross; his devoted sister, Lauren LaRue (spouse Corey McMinn; daughter Carly LaRue). His legacy of love and faith will remain with all who knew him.
The family will receive friends for a visitation and viewing Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Michael's extraordinary life will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, Texas 78703. For those unable to attend, a streaming service will be provided. Graveside services will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
Though Michael has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit will forever linger in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing we will see him again one day in Heaven. We love you, Michael.
