

Born on July 4th, 1966, in Lamar, Colorado, he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and loving “Popo”. Mike is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Christine, his children; Marisa, Michael Jr., and Desirae Acosta, his granddaughters; Chloe and Jalen (daughters of Marisa) and grandson Grayson (son of Desirae), his parents; Miguel and Mary Acosta, his sisters; Betty (Jose Flores), Norma (Michael Martinez) and Linda (Osvaldo Rodriguez), his sister in law; Tammy (Mike Hernandez) and many nieces/great nieces and nephews/great nephews.
Mike was a Garage door installer for over 40 years. Beyond his work, Mike was a man of great integrity and compassion, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandkids, parents, sisters, nieces/great nieces, nephews/great nephews, family and friends. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the lessons he taught.
Dad, we’re going to remember you for exactly that and so much more. And we’re going to miss you. Your loving and kind soul will stay with us forever. Through our tears, let us see the blessings of knowing and loving you – a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and the best “Popo”.

A rosary will occur Monday, April 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E 9th St, Austin, TX 78702. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78749.
