Lt. Col. Miguel Henry Morris, Retired United States Air Force, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 92. A devoted officer, husband, father, and friend, he lived a life of service, honor, and integrity.
Born on July 8, 1933, Lt. Col. Morris dedicated his life to his country through a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. Throughout his years of service, he earned the respect of his peers and the gratitude of his nation for his leadership, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to duty. His career spanned decades of global service during times of both conflict and peace, and his legacy remains a testament to the values he upheld.
Beyond his military service, Miguel was known for his wisdom and deep love for family and community. He was a man of great strength and enduring faith, whose presence brought comfort and stability to all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons Michael, David, and Mark; his daughters Debbie, Raye Anne, and Maria; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, JoAnne Jackson Morris; his mother Ramona Garcia, his brother, Gene Morris; his granddaughter, Kristina Cawthon Mata, his grandson, David Wayne Morris, Jr., and grandson-in-law, Richard Heath Wootton.
A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St.
Paul Catholic Church, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Annunciation Maternity Home in Georgetown, Texas, or Veteran organizations, in his memory.
Lt. Col. Miguel Henry Morris will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, steadfast spirit, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
