

Mildred Elaine Raven was born on February 11, 1922. Her maiden name was Mildred Elaine Westling born to Martin and Ella May Westling of Austin, Texas. She was taken to heaven by several Angels of God on March 8, 2013.Mildred was known to all as “Mimi”.
Mimi attended school in Austin and attended University Junior High School, Austin High School, and the University of Texas, Austin. While attending Austin High School, Mimi participated in the “Red Jackets” a school sponsored team spirit organization. Mimi married Travis Roland Raven while attending the University of Texas.
Mimi volunteered for over 40 years at St. Davids Hospital as a “Robin.” She never tired of making the rounds with small candies and magazines for the patients to enjoy. She and her group of volunteers received a One Million Hour award from St. David's for their tireless efforts tending to the sick and infirm.
As a Home Maker, Mimi was dedicated and made sure her family received all the nourishment, love, and support anyone could ever hope for. She enjoyed building scrapbooks and was a prolific photographer.
Mimi was a lifelong member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. A living memorial has been established for the continued good works of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and those that celebrate the life of Mimi Raven with us are encouraged to send their blessings.
Her husband Travis Roland Raven was taken by Angels of God on May 11, 2004. Mimi is survived by two sons, Travis Roland Raven Jr. and Terry Ley Raven, both of Austin, Texas.

Visitation will be at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar, Austin, TX on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 200 W. Anderson Lane on March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. followed by graveside services at Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North I-35, Pflugerville, TX.
