Nancy FitzGerald Mcquown

Nancy FitzGerald McQuown Nancy FitzGerald McQuown, passed away September 7, 2005. Nancy was the daughter of Paul and Helen FitzGerald born August 5, 1930 in Austin, Texas. She graduated Austin High School in 1948 and attended the University of Texas as a music major and member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She married her high school sweetheart, Albert N. McQuown on June 5, 1952 at First Southern Presbyterian Church. She was very active in church and civic affairs, Sunday School teacher, choir member, Junior League, Settlement Club, and Past President of the West Lake Hills Garden Club. Nancy was very involved in her children’s lives as Cub and Girl Scout leader and Westlake High School Booster Club. Nancy was co-hostess of the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the family’s Annandale Ranch in 1989. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Albert N. McQuown and children and spouses: Kathryn and Chuck Wendlandt of Corpus Christi, Bruce and Sharon McQuown of Sabinal, and Paul and Sharon McQuown of Dallas; four grandchildren: Paul and Andrew Nejtek, Jeremy McQuown and Shannon McQuown; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Dow Chapman; nephews, George and Bill Cofer . There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will be held on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Annandale Ranch, Sabinal, Texas.
