
Narciso (Bib) Saucedo Jr., was surrounded by his family and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 71. He was born in Austin on October 8, 1945, and raised in Bastrop County, attended Bastrop Schools and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. He graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Bib was a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army. After 20+ years of service to the State, he retired and worked full time on his second career of providing financial services. Bib was generous with this time, in assisting others. He was quick to offer advice and support to whom ever needed it at anytime.
He is preceded in death by his father, Narciso Saucedo Sr.; brothers, Alex, Robert, Randy and brother-in-law, Eli Saenz. Bib is survived by his wife, Dolores Saucedo; his daughter, Cynthia Rodriguez, her husband, Jose Luis Rodriguez, grandchildren, Blas and Julia; son, James, granddaughters, Jai and Jaela; and daughter Sandra, all of Austin; mother, Consuelo Cruz Saucedo, brother, Benjamin (Blondena), sisters, Hortence (Tommy) Eureste, Linda (Geno) Chavarria, Connie (Don) Hall and Becky Saenz; sister-in-laws, Joan Saucedo and Theresa Pesquera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bib loved his family and enjoyed celebrating all the holidays and milestones with them. He was a true Giver of his time, wisdom and resources. He will be dearly missed all those he has so deeply touched. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, god father and friend.
A very special thank you to the St. David South Austin Medical Center ICU Doctors, Nurses and Staff, thank you for your loving care: especially Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Uyeki, Dr. Ibarra and nurses Joe, Miriam, Kirsten, Abby, Kathryn, Laura, Mitch, Noel and Nora who provided Bib the best care and support.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 3, 2017, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Celebration will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 4699 East Ben White Blvd., celebrated by Very Rev. Christopher Ferrer, J.C.L. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
