

Nell Bean was called home by our Lord on April 17, 2006. A resident of Austin for 56 years, married in 1940 to her beloved husband Tilford who preceded her in death in 1999. Nell was known for her compassion, caring, and giving nature. She loved reading the Bible and sharing her faith by example. Her sweet and gentle ways made being around her a delight for everyone. Nell was a devoted wife and loving mother, sister, and daughter. She assisted Tilford with their business yet found time to be active in her childrens schools and outside activities. Nell and Tilford were among the original founders of Highland Park Baptist Church in northwest Austin. They were also among the original founders in 1968 of Austin Bible Church in north Austin. Nell, born in 1919, grew up on the Stapp farm near Andice Texas and attended high school in Georgetown. She is survived by one sister, Margie Myers of Liberty Hill; her son and his wife, Randy and Sheila Bean; three grandchildren, Sam Bean, Beth Adkins and husband Tom, and Cathy Bean; one great-granddaughter, Skylar Adkins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Priscilla Bean Hellyer, her parents, three sisters, and one brother. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on April 20, 2006 at 11:00am in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Naruna Cemetery, south of Lampasas Texas.
