On the 16th day of April in the year of 1939, a beautiful baby girl was born to Ola Mae Foster Wright and James Wright in a small town of Luling, Texas, and it was decided she would be her namesake, and her name should be Ola Mae Wright. It was a beautiful spring day.
Ola received her education and upbring in Luling, Texas. Ola was very fun loving and witty. She was very caring and loving to all that was in her presence, related and non-related. She was a mother and grandmother to many. She was very motherly to all. She was an awesome mother figure to her extended daughter Candice Alexander Lane.
Ola worked various jobs throughout her life to provide for her children and then would often bring home fun things to bring joy to her children. For instance, she brought home a big beautiful tiger looking cat in a cage that became part of the family. Reggie named the cat (Tom) and the cat became a very special part of the family. Ola enjoyed spending time outside taking care of her beautiful plants while sipping on a cold cola. Momma also liked hanging out with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the companionship of her fur baby (Chica Alexander). Momma also enjoyed barbecues with Reggie, and Momma also enjoyed listening to music on the record player with Donnie. Momma really enjoyed talks with Debra. Momma really enjoyed doing business with Teeny and Momma really enjoyed Marilyn getting/working her nerves in a good way. Momma was very thankful to have Tarra under her wings and by her side when needed. Ola was an awesome person with a great sense of humor, and always had something to say that was going to give you a laugh and/or a smile, she loved everything and everyone, easy going and quite spoken, shy, and always trying to keep the peace, right or wrong. She loved watching westerns, Perry Mason, Bewitched, Steve Harvey (Jeopardy). She loved and cherished all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Ola Mae Wright Alexander is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Hugh Donald Alexander, Regginald Keith Alexander, Willa Alexander; sisters, Laura Guarity, Gwendolyn Arnic, Toni Wright; brother, James Wright (Jr). She leaves to mourn daughters, Debra Alexander, Jeanette Alexander Davis (Charles), Marilyn Alexander; extended daughter, Candice Alexander Lane; 13 grand kids, 28 great-grand kids, 4 great-great grand kids, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
