Oscar Rene Zapata

Born in Laredo, Texas, on February 28,1975, Oscar was the beloved son of Orlando Zapata Sr. and Rosa Trevino. In 2002, he met the love of his life, Stacy Budzisz in Austin, Texas and their bond quickly blossomed into a lifelong partnership.

After a year and a half, they made Round Rock their home for the past 21 years. Oscar was a devoted and loving father to Cheyanna, Austin, Priscilla, and Gabriella. He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends, often bringing people together through his warmth, laughter, and generous spirit. Whether hosting gatherings or celebrating special occasions, Oscar's presence was a source of joy and connection.

A devoted supporter of the Texas Longhorns, Oscar never missed a football game and took great pride in his collection of Longhorn memorabilia. He found happiness in BBQing for loved ones and had a lifelong passion for working on cars, skills he shared freely and enthusiastically. Oscar will be remembered for his unwavering love, his infectious smile, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, including his parents, his brothers Orlando Zapata II, Ricardo Zapata, his sisters Diana (Laura) Chavez, Norma Zapata, Sandra (Michael) Castillo, and Rosa (Luis) Valdez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and cherished friends.
