Pamela Elizabeth Parsons departed this life surrounded by family on February 19, 2026. Born on April 16, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of James Edward and Joyce Nitz Parsons. As an Air Force dependent, she experienced a wide‑ranging education and proudly graduated as part of the first class of Crockett High School in Austin, Texas, in 1969.
Pam lived by a philosophy of helping others and welcomed every opportunity to lend a hand. She was known to give a dollar, give an hour, or give an item to anyone who needed it more than she did. A devoted volunteer at local animal shelters, she had a special love for dogs. She cherished many memories of her beloved four-legged friend, Sam, who appeared on her doorstep one day and became her forever companion.
In retirement, Pam poured her heart into her role as “Gwacky", cherishing every moment with her grandchildren and never missing an opportunity to babysit. She also loved working on projects with her sister, the two of them often laughing at things over things no one else would find quite funny. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pam is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter‑in‑law, Christopher and Lori Adams, and their daughter, Caitlin; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Tara Megan Korstad and Von Byer, and their children, Madeline Korstad, William, Cora, and James; her twin sister and best friend forever, Kathy Williams, and her husband, Patrick, along with their family; her brother, David Parsons, and his family; and her brother, James Parsons, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. (Ret.) USAF James Parsons and Joyce Parsons.
The family is deeply grateful to the compassionate team at Hospice Austin’s Christopher House for the exceptional care and comfort they provided to Pam in her final days.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Christopher House in Pam's memory.
